Allegories, architectures and symbols
The works of Irem Incedayi reflect the classic contaminated from the east of Istanbul, ancient Byzantium and later Constantinople.
My technique, developed since the early works from the late 90s, has a strong relationship with archeology and the cult of the past; it is inspired by the Oriental and Roman frescoes using color powder, made from a mixture of pigment, sand, gold and silver leaf, acrylic and oil, creating effects of corrosion of a past time.
